I love a vintage hat block. Originally from a Manchester hat factory it will have been used for forming the shape and size of the hats.
 
This one is formed from a stunning piece of wood with a wonderful knot in it, making it very tactile. Stamped in the bottom is “Sharp St” which historically was the centre of hat manufacture in Manchester.
 
They were often adapted for use in a hat shop to display the hats on.
 
The stand on this one is vintage however not original.
 
Nowadays they are great as decorative pieces and look fab in a collection. Great place to keep your tiara!
 
Measurements: 16cm high x 13cm diameter at the top x 17.5cm base diameter. The overall height including the stand is 25cm
