Circa. 1930’s Bakelite Smiths factory/school/office clock.
 
A lovely large vintage clock with a Bakelite case, which has at some point in its lifetime, been painted black. It doesn’t spoil its beauty in fact it looks almost original. There are a couple of places where the original Bakelite colour is peeping through, but you have to squint to see it.
 
The simple but striking face is original as are the hands.
 
It was once an electric clock, it has now been converted to battery operated quartz movement.
