A superb vintage travelling trunk. This trunk, in its day was of great quality.
 
Despite it having had a hard life it is really intriguing and charming. It would have had leather straps around it to keep it secure and metal handles on the sides, however what it does have are it’s souvenirs of the places it has been to.
 
There are travel labels on the lid and sides some still readable, some sadly not. Nevertheless still interesting and intriguing. The most intriguing of all the labels is the one on the inside of the lid. This is a Christmas label saying “ To Mum, with tons of love wishing you a happy Christmas and all the best in 1954 from all the Ryans” so this was obviously a cherished travel companion for a well travelled lady and still has lots of life and use for years to come.
