This is a rare little Edwardian piece as this type of thing was mostly thrown away once the contents were emptied from it.
 
The post mark is dated 19 Aug 1904. The stamps are genuine Edward VII. It is amazing how this has lasted in such good condition for over 117 years.
 
It would have held a sample of Quaker Porridge Oats as it clearly states on the box itself. On the base of the box it brags “There is more relish and nourishment in QUAKER OATS than in any other oats or cereal food.
