A lovely example of the Mac Lamp No.8 designed by Terence Conran for Habitat.
 
These were produced in many varying colours, this being the off white version. It is totally original apart from it being rewired. The in-line switch also being original.
 
This lamp is the later version of this design as they were first designed in the 1950’s. A couple of things changed in the later design, for example the base casing went from being metal to plastic and the arm also was produced in plastic rather than wood. Overall however, in our opinion this didn’t spoil the simple, timeless beauty of the design.
 
It has a couple of age related bruises, however nothing significant that spoils its beauty.
