A vintage French hand painted sign.
 
Originally from a vineyard in the Reims area which is a Champagne wine growing region.
 
The coat of arms is that of Reims and below are two medals one silver one bronze. These quite possibly denote a couple of accolades they have been awarded.
 
The sign has been very well hand painted, however over the years the paint has started to become a little chippy.
 
The words DIEU EN SOIT GARDE translates to GOD BE GUARDED so I guess this means God Watch Over. . . as a wish to protect the crops.
 
It is a really nice piece of French wine growing history and would be lovely in a kitchen or a bar area.
