A rare and lovely piece of British history.
 
This beautiful wooden box with its original working lock and key, was made for the displaying of suspenders in a haberdashery store. Sphere Suspenders were based in Leicester and they sold their product far and wide, as it states on the box they were “worn all over the world”
 
The advertisement on the box for its contents is still in good condition and very decorative.
