These fabulous and so unusual French bowling balls are a great piece of decor. 
A fabulous door stop, or place as a conversation piece on the coffee table. 
Constructed from wood and repaired/strengthened with metal. 
I’m not sure if the metal gave the player any advantage or if it made no difference to the game! 
They show signs of historic wood worm, however this is long gone (probably left home with a pounding headache)!
