Vintage French saddle cloths. 
These were used to sit under the saddle of a race horse with the number denoting the horse. 
There are two numbers on each cloth one on each side so that the horse and rider could be identified from either side, when it was laid over the back of the horse. 
They have been laundered, however do have some yellowing due to age. 
Great for crafting.
