A fabulous vintage basket with a hinged lid. 
The initials D L have been painted on the front, which is the cherry on the cake for us. We love a bit of typography. . . it begs the question 
“Who or what was DL?”
It has had some historic worm, however it has been treated as a precaution. It has had a life so does show signs wear. 
A great little piece of storage to slide under the coffee table or have in the hallways for gloves and scarves, etc.
