This lovely little French ironstone onion board was used for chopping onions as the glaze makes it easy to wash and it’s not tainted by the smell.
 
It does have a historical chip on the back at the bottom and this is shown in the photos and reflected in the price.  Despite this I couldn’t leave it behind, as not only does it not detract from the board overall, they are hard to find nowadays. 
They make beautiful little serving platters or decorative pieces in the kitchen.
