A rare little piece of vintage.
 
This is a 1930’s/40’s Egg postal box, complete with the inner compartments. The eggs would have been placed in each of the separate compartments and then the box would have been addressed on the front and posted, simple as that. these boxes were used during the war, when eggs were valuable.
 
It is in remarkable condition for its age. Although bearing a name it has never been posted.
