This gorgeous wall hanging cabinet was hung in a church or chapel. 
I believe it to be Gothic Arts and Crafts. 
It still has its original key and the door is beautifully carved both on the front and the inside, so that that workmanship can be seen even when the door hangs open. 
It was obviously used to store something valuable that couldn’t be removed through the carved openings on the door front. Maybe the communion cup and wine.
