These are an unusual find, in that they are not vintage household scales, but vintage bank tellers scales.
 
These would have been used to weigh the bags of coinage when counting large amounts of copper and silver coins.
 
The currency is clearly in old money dating them to around the 1940’s. The brass dish is secured in place.
 
These are a really quirky decorative piece, great for anyone that works/worked in a bank.
