This is a gorgeous trunk.
 
We think it may be from the late 1800’s. There is a fabulous candle box that was once lockable inside, this is removable which reveals another fixed box hidden underneath!
 
This trunk must have once been used for something important or valuable, as unusually it had 3 locks, which we think may mean that three different people held a key so that no one person could get access without the other two. The hinges are blacksmith made and it is a solid, quality trunk, with dovetailed joints. It is a perfect coffee table trunk with somewhere to hide the remote controls and charger cables!
