A unique scratch built work lamp made using some original Singer lamp parts. Found in France. 
The original Singer lamps were used in factories on work benches and over sewing machines, some attached to the machine itself. 
This one has been made with available hardware and the original Singer pieces. The base is made of some kind of polished stone, with the appearance of marble. 
The lamp is operated by an inline switch on the twisted black fabric flex. 
A great little work lamp for a craft room or small desk or as an unusual bedside lamp. 
It has been rewired by a professional electrician and PAT tested.
