A lovely Louis Philippe mirror.
The gesso has become worn through its lifetime and the mirror is now monochrome. 
It now has a lovely worn look that is very decorative in its own right. 
There are a couple of places where the gesso is completely missing (see photo) however this is not major. The plate is starting to fox nicely too!
