This is a rare delivery crate, which would have been used on the counter or the shelf in the shop to display the product. In this case Trade Dry Soap. 
It still has both the labels on the front and on the underside of the lid. 
A great display box or for keeping washing products in, in the kitchen or the utility room. Or holding face cloths and soaps, etc in the bathroom.
