These rarely found baskets were originally used by market traders in Covent Garden! 
They have a distinctive concave base which was designed that way as the baskets were stacked on top of each other then carried on the head. 
There is still evidence of the business’ names on two of them, however by nature of their use this is worn. The baskets show sign of their age, use and historical worm, though still have plenty of life still in them. 
A fantastic piece of London history.
