This dolly peg or posser (possibly Dutch) is very unusual! 
Not only is it a really unusual shape, which we think is so very sculptural and a piece of art, it came from the late Martin Scorey’s own collection. 
Martin Scorey (aka Pine Martin) was a British sculptor and also a boat builder. He was the master of folk art and made some amazing pieces using everyday materials, turning utilitarian pieces into something unique and amazing. There is plenty to read about him on the World Wide Web, with some lovely photos of his work too.
