Rare Early 20th Century Butchers Tongue Display Plate
An Edwardian butchers display dish for Tongue.
This plain monochrome typography style is rare compared to the more common fancily decorated versions.
Apart from the bold type the only other decoration is what is left of a gilt edging on the rims of the plate.
Due to its fragile nature and its utilitarian use it has a small nibble on the top rim, which adds to charm of the life it has lived.
Measurements: 28cm diameter.
