Rare Decorative Ceramic and Gilded Metal Jewellery Stand Dated 1862
These absolutely stunning elegant stands were originally tapestry screen poles and of course can still be used as such today! However in a more modern setting we believe they make beautiful jewellery stands for retail display or simply on a dressing table.
The registration mark denotes the year 1862, the year of the Great Exhibition of London. These may possibly be ecclesiastical.
The eyelets along the bottom of the bar where the tapestry would have been attached is perfect for hanging earrings and the beautiful long elegant bars lend themselves perfectly to hanging chains and necklaces from.
They do have a couple of nibbles here and there but nothing major, to be expected at 162 years old!
They measure: 10cm diameter and 56cm high
** Priced individually
