A beautiful and unusual vintage French desk lamp. 
It can be adjusted by loosening the wheel on the side of the upstand and sliding the lamp arm up or down as required. The lamp itself turns on with a key turn on the shade. 
This is a stunning lamp and would compliment any desk, side table or bedside.
Maximum height is 45cm, then can be lowered as desired. The heavy iron base diameter is 13cm.
