A large French vintage wire basket, unusually with a lid!
 
This basket would have been used to take or carry home chickens and such birds to or from the market, (sorry - different times)!
 
It is large enough to hold plenty of household booty like, books and magazines, throws, logs, loo rolls or perfect for garden pots and hand tools. It can also have things displayed on the top thanks to the rigid lid!
