A fabulous large French vintage carrosse otherwise known as a wash box. 
These are all different and as found, being scratch built each one by a different pair of hands! This one is a large one, I have never had one this size. It could have a shelf added inside to make it even more useful and unique! Whatever you prefer. 
This would have been knelt in whilst washing with a washboard to keep the knees dry whilst scrubbing the clothes backwards and forwards on the washboard. 
Perfect to stand on the side in the kitchen with pots and canisters in or hang on the wall as a shelf and use the back as a pin board.
