This absolute beast of a shelf was rescued from a chateau in Northern France. 
It is hand carved and very heavy, possibly oak. It has a large shelf area so can hold a big pot or lamp. 
It has suffered some losses over its lifetime, however it all adds to its story and character in our opinion and is what attracted us to it in the first place.
