A fabulous French vintage carrosse otherwise known as a wash box. 
This would have been knelt in whilst washing with a washboard to keep the knees dry whilst scrubbing the clothes backwards and forwards on the washboard. 
In very good condition. It shows signs of age and historical worm, which have long gone and we have treated it as an extra precaution. 
Perfect to stand on the side in the kitchen with pots and canisters in or hang on the wall as a shelf. Use the back panel as a pin board and add photos or favourite cards. 
These are all unique as each one is handmade for the person that would have used it
