This wig stand dates from the 1800’s and is a piece of quality. 
The base is edged in the same fabric as the head and still has its original nails. 
It shows age and wear which is absolutely what I love about it. 
This is from my personal collection and I have thoroughly loved owning it, however it now needs to make space for something else that I will be temporary custodian of for a while. 
I have always displayed it with this lovely wire crown, which is not old, however has a wonderful aged look and I feel compliments the head beautifully, so think they should stay together. So they come as a package.
