A fabulous vintage carrosse otherwise known as a wash box. 
This would have been knelt in whilst washing with a washboard to keep the knees dry whilst scrubbing the clothes backwards and forwards on the washboard. 
This one is in very good condition, considering its great age. It has had very little worm, which is unusual. There is one small loss, however the box is still strong and sound around it. 
The box has been treated for wood worm. 
Perfect to stand on the side in the kitchen with pots and canisters in or hang on the wall as a shelf and use the back as a pin board.
