Gilt corbel shelves were hand carved in the 1700’s/1800’s for displaying valuable pieces such as porcelain, busts, small sculptures, clocks etc. 
This one is beautifully hand carved in wood featuring an organic arrangement of acanthus leaves and scrolls
It has a wonderful aged gilt patina. 
Perfect for displaying one of your special pieces.
