These are rare exquisite 18th century wall hung candle sconces. 
They are slightly different from each other one being gilded the other more aged and less gold. They have both had replacement candle holders attached at a later date. 
They are striking pieces with or without a candle. The candle tray will hold a small church candle or a tea light comfortably.
