An oyster/scallop gathering basket, from the coastal Breton area of France. 
Made of willow, the handle is possibly hazel. 
A lovely shape and not too deep, perfect for flowers or a neatly folded pile of tea towels in the kitchen. Ideal on the worktop with fruit, onions, eggs in.
