A truly gorgeous two door pine cupboard with a shield design on the doors and side panels.
 
It has the most amazing feet, unusual in the fact that they are conical.
 
This beautiful piece originated from Witherley Hall in Warwickshire. Dating from mid to late Victorian era. It would have been used in the kitchens or another service area as it is a utilitarian style and the furniture in the main part of the Hall would have been much grander and more ornate. It would have had the tall feet to raise it up enough to stop vermin getting in it and to make it easy to keep underneath it clean and again vermin free.
 
It shows signs of some historic woodworm down one side, however this is long gone.
 
This is a fabulous, solid piece of furniture with masses of storage space as you can see from the amount of things I have put in it, they haven’t even begun to fill it.
