This is an absolutely stunning, extremely weathered French confit pot! 
Its charm and beauty is in the wear, but most of all it’s very old repairs. 
Coming from a time when things were repaired to give them longevity. These things were in every day use, in the ground, and throwing it away when it got damaged was not an option! 
It has been repaired a long time ago, with four fabulous metal staples. One of the handles is long gone and the glaze is missing in lots of places. I can safely say that it isn’t watertight. 
To us this is what makes it so attractive and desirable, not to mention unique!
