This rare early 19th century French display plinth was once a thing of complete splendour, despite its losses it is still a glorious piece. 
Although considering its age and its delicate nature, it is hard to believe any of it has survived at all, yet it still holds much of its beautiful gesso decoration and gilding. 
A beautiful time worn plinth to display treasured piece on.
