A wonderful vintage brass French SORTIE sign. Sortie meaning EXIT.
The letters have been hand carved with a sharp chisel then painted, you can see the chisel marks highlighted by the black paint. 
A lovely sign to hang over the door or just prop up on a shelf.
It is worn with age as would be expected, however we believe that is what makes it so attractive!
