Rare Antique Lacemakers Stool
An original English lacemakers stool with iron stretchers.
Dating back to the early 1800’s and for its age is in remarkable condition. The unusual iron stretchers between the legs are riveted through each leg which is a rare feature. The stretchers were designed in this manner, for the lacemaker to be able to tuck their clogs up underneath the stool whilst sitting.
The seat is satisfyingly smooth and worn from years and years of use.
This stool is a lovely looking piece of furniture and would sit very happily in the corner of any room waiting to be perched upon or would also make a perfect stool pulled up against the breakfast bar.
Measurements: 30cm diameter x 53cm high.
