Antique Trunk Chippy Patina & Typography
£0.00Price
Below the layers of paint of this wonderful antique trunk, can be seen the lettering of it’s original owner! He went by the name of Sgt. Barber and was part of the 1st Lincolnshire Artillery Volunteers which was formed in 1860 in response to the threat of a French invasion, part of the 2nd battery based in Grimsby. Only in Grimsby between the years 1860-1919 when they moved to Nottingham. The trunk most probably dates from the original formation of the group, going by the construction and the blacksmith made hinges. We have tried to research Sgt. Barber, however have been unsuccessful. Measurements: 60 x 33 x 36cm high ** PLEASE NOTE ** This item is not standard delivery and will be delivered by my courier. Delivery cost will be added at the basket stage.
