A fantastic genuine set of mid 19th century apothecary drawers.
 
The labels are in very good condition considering their great age. 5 of the drawer pulls are original glass ones, one has been replaced sympathetically with a cast version.
 
This set of 6 drawers will have been part of a larger shop display in a 19th century local apothecary. They will have held, as described on the labels, various powders and potions for mixing cures and remedies. 
 
On the sides of the drawers, once they are pulled out there are hand written notes and weights, etc, which obviously was a guide for mixing. They are a fanatastic antique from a time when things were very much different from today!
 
These beautiful drawers are clean inside and out and are a stunning piece of British history.
