A fabulous antique French blue and white onion board. 
These lovely little French ironstone onion boards were used for chopping onions as the glaze makes them easy to wash and they’re not tainted by the smell.
 
They are a rare find these days, especially the old blue and white ones. 
From the turn of the 1900’s this board shows wear commensurate to its age and each has a couple of small nibbles, as would be expected. 
They make beautiful little serving platters or decorative pieces in the kitchen.
