A 19th century wooden kitchen peel or baker’s paddle, sometimes called a bread shovel.

This is a short handled provincial peel, most commonly used for small ovens or sometimes in a small village bakery.

These look fabulous stood on the worktop amongst a collection of serving/chopping boards or hung on the wall.
