These are rare, possibly unique 19th century hand carved ceiling bosses. 
With the original paint, showing some wear as is expected, they are carved in a Tudor style. 
Absolutely stunning pieces! They would have originally been up on the ceiling either where ceiling panels from the outer sides met in the middle or in the corners. 
Now they are striking pieces of decor for the home. 
 
The back is arched, so sits nicely in a corner.
