A beautiful French hand carved architectural panel which has a gorgeous chippy patina.
 
I love the decorative possibilities that this gives. It would look great above a door, placed on a shelf, stood on its end against a wall, maybe amongst some lush green plants.
 
It is so tactile, the carving being raised higher in the middle just makes you want to touch it.
 
I believe it may be mahogany, though my knowledge of wood is not great.
