These fabulous receptacles are hand made of black clay synonymous with Catalonia. Circa early 20th century. 
This type of clay was used for water because its porous properties kept the water cool. They would be filled through the wide filler spout and hung up, then when needed the water would be drunk from the smaller spout in the way that sangria is poured into the mouth. 
Now a fabulously decorative piece in the home.
