A truly beautiful piece of French folk art. 
This one is a stunning unique, antique, French, vitrine, sadly it once had a door on the front which is long gone and is reflected in the price. 
The edgings like the back of the interior is hand carved fretwork. Imagine the work that went into this! 
This would have been painstakingly carved as a place for a religious figure, I’m guessing Mary!!
What a glorious gift for someone called Marie.
