An original MOD (Ministry of Defence) wooden trunk built in 1938 with its original key! 
This extremely clean neat little trunk is the perfect size for a coffee table in front of a two seater sofa. Ideal for a cottage or small space. 
The inside is very clean and tidy and the outside has a wonderful worn patina. Unusually it still has the key and the lock is in full working order. The lock bears the lock makers name and the date of 1938. 
The hinges have the little arrow emblem stamped into them that signifies it was MOD property.
It has knocks and bruises, as would be expected for its 83 years in service, however overall it is a gorgeous trunk. 
A really lovely piece.
