This is an unusual and rare enamel can.
 
When I purchased it, I was told that they were manufactured overseas and that the instruction was to enamel the words Hot Water on the top, however not knowing how this was correctly spelled it was done as it was said!
 
I am not entirely sure how much of that is true, if at all, however it is a nice thing, really unusual, decorative and a talking piece. It is watertight, so would make a great little watering can.
